I have done extensive work with the Peter Stone Company. Although I started off helping them with color formulas and painting techniques, I have also sculpted some of the horses in their line. I started off cleaning up the jumping model originally sculpted by Chris Hess, and then moved on to a portrait model of John Lyons’s great Appaloosa, Bright Zip. That mold became the Performance Horse, released in many colors over the past 8 years, including my first Artisan Hall piece in a chocolate dapple palomino. My second Artisan Hall horse was on the pony mold, a sandy bay tobiano with a loose tail, named: “Skippy”. I followed her up with “Jiff”, which I referred to as the “Bridesmaid” horse. This pony was only available to people who were not lucky enough to get one of the Skippys. She had the same tobiano pattern but was dapple rose grey instead and had a braided tail. I believe there were only 80 pieces made.

I have been the exclusive sculptor of the Pebbles line of horses. We started off with the Quarter Horse, a horse that is not terribly detailed, but was a springboard for the succeeding horses. The original colors were black Appaloosa, palomino, and bay tobiano, and were sold under the name “Parade of Breeds”. Eventually they became available in many more colors, and in limited editions.

Next I sculpted the Saddlebred, which was also released in the “Parade of Breeds” line. This was a simple show stance American Saddlebred, with its tail cocked to one side. It was also released in limited runs, and was the first in the Pebbles line to become trophy horses.

The next Pebbles to be released was the Warmblood, a trotting stallion with a braided mane. He was released in the “Living Horse” line, in flea bit grey, chestnut, and buckskin. And of course, he has been released in many limited editions, including some groovy polo pony sets with ribbons in his mud tail and matching polo wraps.

And the latest in the Pebbles line:
A standing Arabian mare, with a tendril of mane creeping over the left side of her neck. She’ll be such a pretty performance horse! Keep a look out for her to be released soon.
